I don't have any sound during the playback of any of my
recordings. I don't know if it's something I can adjust while I'm
recording or not. Please help.
On my handycam you have to hit the Volume + button while playing back. Everytime you playback it starts volume at zero and you have to volume up to hear anytime you playback.

I think you have unconciously uninstalled your sound card. Try installing your sound card again and see what happens. i think after installing the drivers of your audio card it should be back again..

If you're not hearing anything on playback on the camera, try pressing the up-arrow during playback to increase the volume. If you're not hearing anything on playback on a computer (and neither the viewer nor the computer are on mute) then something is broken on the camera, causing it not to record audio.
This is because the camera is not capable to record the sound. The camera was not designed with any audio speakers to be able to record and playback sound recorded during movie mode.
During Playback you can press + or - buttons to adjust the volume. Maybe this is your problem. If you need more info watch video instructions chapters for Olympus on http://www.HandBookLive.com under Electronics-> Audio. There are 20 different video chapters. The info about + - buttons for volume during playback was chapter 7 (Playback)
go to the control panel, sound and devices, voice test hardware there you can check your headset is working or not if working there voice playback or voice recording both check the volume if mute then unmute it
AFTER you open a new poject go to "Devices" then "Device Setup" click on "VST Audio System" then on he right side where it says "ASIO DRIVER" make the selection say "Lambda ASIO" then click OK
You are on the right track, sounds like a noisy volume control. Can often be repaired with a squirt of cleaner spray into the potentiometer assembly. But I suggest you use crc2-26 contact lubricant spray, not silicone spray which is a great materials lubricant, but not electrical. Worst case, the Vol Potentiometer, may have to be replaced. Go for the CRC first and see how it goes. Good Luck, happy FixYa
