HDMI Tv's have a HDMI input and connect that the to the HDMI input on back of HD Sky box if not HD ready TV you'll have either 1 or 2 F-Connectors which go from Dish to input points1 and 2 on the back of the sky box then Scart lead from box to TV -
Use a good quality scart leads for starters. connect oon end to tv and the other labeled tv on sky box. The other is labeled vcr. connect another lead from vcr or dvd to that connection. If you have a hd dvd player or Bluray, then buy a HDMI lead and connect straight to one of the HDMI inputs on the tv. I know this is late but i hope it still helps you and anybody else who may read this.
all you have to remember is out of one into the other IF got Ariela on house that goes into sky then out of sky in to DVD recorder and out of that and into tv
on back of sky hd if you are going to use HDMI cable put cable into sky box and other end into tv ( you will have ot put tv on HDMI input/source)
or use scart lead in stead THIS DEPENDS ON HOW YOU WANT TO CONNECTPLAYSTATION everything else is colourcoded
This TV has no HDMI input socket. It Has a DVI input socket. Therefore you will require an HDMI to DVI converter adapter or an HDMI to DVI cable. The DVI is video only so you will require audio cables from your Sky box (Audio L and R ) which will connect to the back left of your TV (Audio L/R sockets next to the s-video and component video connectors)
Yes you can split the signal out from the back of the Freesat/HD (not the TV)to the second TV.
Look what outputs are on the Freesat box - the RF (standard cable) output should go to the 2nd TV (TV set to CH3) and the a/v cables,HDMI or DVI cable should go to the new TV - Note:To receive HD the output from the Freesat should be either HDMI,DVI or Composite output (RGB video jacks) with red White for audio. If you have HDMI this is best - it also provides audio.
You will need an HDMI to DVI cable which are available in the shops, even ASDA has one but I don't know how good it is. Or you can buy an adapter that will plug into one of the ends of the HDMI cable and then plug into the DVI socket at the back of the TV. The DVI input is video only so you will need audio leads for sound. These will connect from the output of your source, say, blue ray or sky HD (Left and right audio sockets ) to the audio L/R at the back left of the TV (on the block next to the three component video connections and s-video connections)
you will need the following = HDMI LEAD
Optical Audio Lead
Red and White phono Lead
Sky HD Box > connect to Tv via HDMI Lead.
Sky HD box > Connect the optical Audio, and the Phono Leads To your Surrounds sound.
The reason I am wanting you to connect the phono's as well as the optical audio out. Not all programs are transmitted with Dolby D so you will need these for normal sound to come through your surround sound.
One last thing I would like you to check is the sound settings on your Hd box.
OLD PROGRAM GUIDE:
On your sky remote. Press SERVICES, 4, 2, then ensure that Dolby D is displayed if not highlight and using the blue button change this to Dolby D. then arrow down to save.
NEW PROGRAM GUIDE:
On your sky remote. Press SERVICES, 0, Arrow along to SOUND then arrow down and change this to DOLBY D Then press the GREEN button.
Hope this Helps you out. IF so please leave a thumbs up
Strictly speaking to be HD Ready a TV must fullfill 2 things:
1. Have a Screen Resolution of at least 1024 x 768. 2. Have at least 1 HDMI Socket.
Your TV has neither of these, so it is NOT HD Ready, however, it will still be more than capable of showing SKY HD, and it will still look very nice indeed.
I would need a list of the connections on the rear of the TV to tell you which cable to buy, but:
If it has DVI, then a simple HDMI to DVI cable will do for the video.
If it has component, i.e Yb, Yr etc then you will need a more expensive HDMI - Component Video cable.
Its HYUNDAI HPT-4250 42 INCH PLASMA TV. THATS ALL IT SAYS.
