I took my PS2 apart to clean and re-adjust the laser since it was not reading the disks. When I put in a disk, at first it read a PS one disk. Then I turned it off and put in a PS 2 disk and got the disk read error again. So I turned it off to re-adjust the laser again and when I turned the power button on, nothing happened. I get nothing, no fan, no red light on front, nothing. I pulled the battery out and put it back in about 10 min later and still nothing. I have checked the silver streamer connected to the reset button and it seems fine. Also, I have checked the power switch in back to see if it was loose, and it seems fine. So...now what?

I can't take it back since it is one of the original PS2's that I bought when the PS2 came out some years back. Additionally, since I broke the seal on the back, the warranty is now void.
