Hi, I have AOE 2 and I´ve played for a long time. Two months ago I had to rebuild my PC and installed everything from scratch. Including AOE 2. After the installation I´ve tested it and it played ok. Then, all of a sudden it stoped working. It sometimes says it is loading and then, at the end simply exit and close the program. sometimes it comes back with a message saying that AOE 2 caused an error and must be closed and offers to send the error report to MS. Could it be the latest MS WXP patches?

    Tks!

I have already done so! Uninstall, reinstall, aply patch, etc...

The software says it is loading, stay that way for a while and then just close the window.

Could be. have you tried downloading any game patches for AOE2. Uninstall and reinstall AOE 2 see if that works.

do you have an anti-virus software or firewall? AOE coukd be trying to connect for some confirmation about software registration. since this kind of activity is sometimes mistaken by your security software as virus activity it will be blocked.

JVC CA-D661T compact home stereo stopped playing burned CDs (it used to play these same CDs, now it doesn't recognize them). Everything else works, including playing of original CDs. Any ideas?

You can try cleaning the laser lens. You can do this using qtips and rubbing alcohol. Be sure you are very gentle though or you could risk scratching the lens which would completely ruin the laser assembly.

The Playstation network had a massive security breach weeks ago. PSN has been offline for quite some time now. There is nothing wrong with your game or system because no one can access PSN.

It has been on every tech site, all over the news, 20/20, ESPN even dropped a spot about it.

Will not play any ps3 games or movies

Hi,

The PS3 has a special Recovery Menu, which you can access in the following way:

1. Turn off Playstation 3.
2. Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

The current Recovery Menu supports:
• Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION 3 System.
• Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default.
• Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files.
• Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION 3.
• Restore PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.
• System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION 3 System

From the above select option "Rebuild Database". After PS3 has executed this DB rebuilding operation, the disc games will be visible again in the menu.

Thank you

Problem uninstalling AoE III the asians

You would probably hve had to first deinstall Asians and then AoE 3... What you can do now is manually deinstall it. It works like this: 1: Go to the folder where the game is installed (program files by default) and delete that folder. 2: open run in the start menu, type 'regedit' and hit enter. 3: A window opens. Every HKEY folder in it has a SOFTWARE folder. In one of these software folders there should be a folder that is named like the company that made the game, so for AoE 3 I believe that is microsoft. 4: Delete the Age of Empires folder in it if there are multiple Microsoft program installed. If AoE is the only prgram, delete the Microsoft folder. 5: Your deinstallation is finished! I hope this helps, Yannick.

I purchased a toastess vacuum

I purchased a toastess vacuum bag sealer at Canadian Tire two months ago. I only had it about a month when the sealing wire broke. I returned it to the store and they replaced. One month later the same thing happened again, but because it is more than 30 days I can not return it to the store this time. I have misplaced my bill of sales. Where do I go from here.

Hello,
I’m sorry that I cannot help you with this, this particular site is for vacuum cleaners only and you may want to check with the manufacturer of the vacuum bag sealer to try to help you on this matter, or check with Canadian Tire to see if they have a phone # to the factory or manufacturer. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
