Hi,

Did you check the cable connections? They may have become loose or have obtained some dust. I would suggest to disconnect the cables and reconnecting them. The cables could have also malfuntioned.

What happens when you press the input source button on your remote?

This is really peculiar. When you go to the source menu, there should be the EXT channels along with TC and PC listed there. Did you try a reset? I suspect that this is a problem in the TV's software.

Turn the TV off and unplug it for a few hours. Say, under the install menu, is the VCR option turned off?

Try the reset under the picture menu. In the feature menu, what is selected next to Ext-2 Out?

I am sorry, but your TV needs to be serviced. The firmware/software is most probably corrupted and needs to be flashed (I say probably because it could also be some internal hardware failure but it's most likely a software problem). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

How do I get sky from my set top box to work in a different room, I am trying to get my sky to work on a TV in a different room ? I have wired up TV coax cable from my sky box in sitting room and run

Hi Jim,
Here In my place in India, you can attach only one tv to the sky set top box. That too with AV cables. The program or channel changing is done by box only. The tv works as a monitor and has no role in program selection. You can attach a second tv to the box not through antenna cable but through AV cables only. That too if the box is having second set of output sockets. In that case both the TVs will receive the same programmes. To watch different programmes on the second tv you will have to go for an additional box.

HI, i don't have any tv signal. the light on my sky box is green and my broadband seems fine but the tv it'self is picking up no signal. any ideas?

make sure u are on the same video stream that the Sky Box is using.. (Video 1, Video 2,, HDMI. ,Comp. AUX,) ETC. use ur TV remote , not the Sky Box one.. and find the input button, or Source button and look through the list and select each one till u find the correct stream.

Hi i have an alba tv , im trying to connect a dvd player. I have connected the scart leads etc.I can not get onto the av channel so i can watch a dvd. Please help

Hi,

Firstly, please make sure you have connected the SCART cable correctly. This should be connected to a SCART OUT socket on the DVD player to one of the SCART IN or EXT sockets on the rear of the TV.

If you have correctly connected the SCART cable the TV should automatically switch to the AV channel when you switch the DVD player power on or insert a disc.

Switch your TV on, then switch the DVD player off and then on again. If the TV does not change to the AV channel you may have the SCART cable connected incorrectly.

Not all TVs automatically switch to the AV channel when the AV device is switched on. On some TVs the AV input is on channel 0 or 99. On other TVs the AV input is not assigned to a specific channel. On these TVs you need to look for a button marked "AV", "INPUT" or "SOURCE" - either on the TV remote or on the buttons on the front of the TV. The easiest way to do this is to insert a disk into the DVD player and start it playing. Then press the "AV" "INPUT" or "SOURCE" button (whichever one you have) repeatedly until you find the signal from the DVD player.

Please check your connections and try using the "AV" "INPUT" or "SOURCE" buttons. If you are still unable to watch your DVD player, please post back with the following information:

1. Model number of the Bush TV
2. Brand and model number of the DVD player
3. If you are using any remote other than the ones supplied with the TV or DVD player, the brand and model number of the remote.

I will then be able to tell you exactly how it should be connected and which buttons (if any) you need to press to access the AV channel.

Hope this helps. Happy New Year!

Regards,
BElectric

Input select sttting

Normally, your TV or VCR is probably set to display the television channels you watch, through a standard cable input. In order to play your Nintendo using the A/V cables, we need to tell your TV or VCR to switch from the normal tv channels, and instead display the signal coming in from the A/V cables of your Nintendo system. There is no one particular way to do this, as it varies between brands, but below is some information that may help.
Quick Tip: Grab the original remote control for the TV or VCR you have plugged your Nintendo into, and look for a button that could be labeled:
  • TV/Video
  • Input Select
  • Line or Line In
  • Source
  • AUX (auxiliary)
  • EXT (external)
  • any other button that seems to indicate it would switch between the TV signal and the game system.
If the above tips did not help, it is possible your Input Select is a little more difficult to locate. Here are some other common ways to access an Input Select:
  • A button on the front of your TV or VCR located behind a door or a hidden panel, or located on the original remote control that came with the device. If you are using a universal remote, it may not work when pressing the "input select" button. If it does not work, try to locate the original remote.
  • A high or low end channel. Try channel surfing through every channel, even the ones that do not normally broadcast a TV show. Many times the input select is a high channel such as 90, 91, 92, 93, 99, or even 999. You should also try low channels such as 0, 00,001, 1 or even 2. For some televisions, you may need to manually select these channels by using the keypad on the TV or remote control.
  • Found within an on-screen menu. Search the menu for words such as Input, Setup or Source. Select one of these words, and another menu will usually appear that asks you to select between TV and either AV, AUX or Line. Select AV, AUX or Line to display the Nintendo game.
If you are still unable to find your input select, you may want to consult the operation manual that came with your TV or VCR, or contact the manufacturer directly.

Panasonic TX P50V10B Plasma TV

In order to get any of the Freesat channels, you need to connect a Satellite dish to your TV. If you have a Sky dish, you simply need to run an extra Cable from the LNB from the dish and connect to your socket on the back of your TV.
In order to get Freeview channels and Analogue channels, you need to connect a aerial to the back of the TV.
There is a menu option for the TV to start straight to the AV input (your Sky HD box). It is Menu > Setup > Other Settings > Power on Preference. Select 'AV' for your TV to start on Sky HD.
Also even if you have your TV to start on TV, when you turn on your Sky HD box, it should automatically switch to the Sky box.

Tuning to pick up sky feed

Sounds like from discription the sky feed is set up for analog channel 6. With my TV-HVR-1600 card, there is an option in the wintv application when you click the menu button in the application that says channel suite. If you select this option, you should find and option for analog source. Select analog source in this screen and you should be able to manually add channel 6 in the box at the top of the analog souce screen. Also if you have the sky feed connected and you you click the scan button on this screen, it should detect automatically is the sky feed is on.
