How can I remove the back to change battery?

Yep.. unless you have a self winding one. They require a sharp jewelers tool to open.. Sometime you can do it yourself , but you chance ruining the watch with scratches. The jeweler puts the watch in a holder that protects the crown and steady the watch. He then takes a tool and inserts it in the seam of the watch back and pops the back open. After the battery is changed the back is pressed back into place by the devise that can put pressure on the back without risking cracking the crown.. Come on man it's only 8 bucks. Just remember once the back has been opened water proof can not be guaranteed anymore.

I have an Relic Fossil Brand Watch and I took the back Cover Off and I cant Get the **** thing back on.. how do you put the back of it back on?...

try to press on as much around as you can then whatever area is still showing a gap gently push it on a corner of a desk ( be careful of crystal), but it sounds like you may not be able to get it back on. Watches need even pressure all the way around to put the backs back on this is done with a watch press. The watch press cups the crystal and applies even pressure to snap the back on. It sounds like you will have to go to your local jeweler. We use the watch press to put on about 75 percent of our backs! Fossil is especially known for difficult backs and crystals that easily break! although they are a nice looking watch!! hope this helps!!

How do I put the bezel of a Time Expedition Indiglo wristwatch back on? I've done everything shy of driving over it with the car.

you need a watch press to put the watch back on
find the correct size disk for both sides of the watches and then press down untill you here the pop of the back .

If you do not have a press you can try to use a small jeweler hammer and hammering it back on . Only a jeweler with plastic head can you use. You also have to have a sponge or something to put the face down and not get ruined when hammering.

You will need to be very careful

lay watch face down on sponge or thick cloth.

align watch back with proper groove where knife fits in to pop back off

Gently start hammering around the edges of the watch back case.

Do so with increasing pressure until watch seals back on .

If you cannot hammer back on without damaging stop and bring it in to a professional

I have a lorus mickey mouse watch just replace battery having trouble with putting the back cover back on..

You may need to have a local jeweler who has a watch press to put it back on, If you put to much pressure on the inside of the back, it may be warped. A knowledgeable jeweler should be able to fix that issue also.

How do you put the back, back onto this fs1? The band keeps getting in the way! Back came off easily enough, popped off after unscrewed. Band is still on watch, have tried to slide back into grooves but...

You have to remove band in order to fit caseback back onto the watch. Insert pocket knife blade between band and case lug and pry inwards. This motion should release the band. It will be a lot more difficult to fit the band back on and you will probably need to buy springbar tool. Rate me plz.

Install back on a roots steel watch

Hi, my husband just fixed mine; it was tricky but he got the back put back on. He lined up the back; it has a small **** - to the front part where you set the time ; then he had to bang on the back of the watch a bit on the edge that is sticking up and won't go in (hope it makes sense?) and finally it did clink into place. He used the handle of a knife~ not the safest way to do it with but he was determined to get it back on and couldn't believe what a hassle it was to change a watch bettery~.
Hope this helps you out.

Can't put (back) back on my timex indiglo

I used to work with jewelry. !!BEWARE!!
This method is for face crystals that are completely FLAT! Any convex crystal will shatter without proper tools!!!
Any method of putting the watch cover back with the watch remotely near water/moisture is a mistake. The watch will rust sooner or later.
So if you don't want to pay a jeweler five dollars to put it back on, this is what I did to my sister's watch cover when I could not snap it back.
I took my cushy 1/4 inch mousepad to a vise. You may not have a vise. If you don't, stop reading now and take the watch to a jeweler --one who replaces batteries.
Inside the vise jaws, I used a 5 inch square piece of wood, then my cushy mousepad, then the watch facing the pad, then the back in the right place for restoring.
!!!!NOTE: Not having the back in the right place will smash the stem and damage can/will result!!!
To push the back on, I picked a 12 point socket out of my socket set that was the same DIAMETER as the watch back and placed it CENTERED behind the back.
Recapping, inside vise:
  • small board
  • cushy mousepad (to avoid scarring and crystal breakage
  • watch crystal facing mousepad
  • watch back in correct position
  • ratchet socket the same diameter as watch back centered behind cover
Slowly I positioned all these items with minimal pressure. Then when I was sure that I was ready (and prepared to hear the crystal break) I put as little pressure closing the vise that I could. The I heard a snap, and to my relief, it was the back going in!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO WHAT I DID. People with broken watch crystals become very IRATE when "all it needed was a battery"!

A screw clamp would also give adequate pressure. Any unsupported direct pressure over the crystal will shatter it!

Hope this helped.
Good luck!!!!

HELP !! can't snap armitron watch cover back on

Take a small thin piece of cloth or paper towel, fold it and use to cover the watch face.  Put one quarter (coin) on top and one quarter (coin) on the bottom.  Place the sandwich in a pair of pliers, center thhe pliers and press, when you hear the snap, the back is on.  Do not use on a watch with a domed crystal, or at least use a lot more padding over the face.  Takes 10 seconds.
