My gyration mouse makes a humming noise when the battery is attached. As soon as I remove the battery the noise stops. I have tried cleaning the contacts but it did not help.

SOURCE: My Gyration GC15C mouse makes

Hello there, is it the cradle that makes the noise or the mouse itself?Depending on which of the units is making the sound all you have to do is carry out a reset. Remove the 4 AAA batteries which the mouse has installed for about 5 mins and you can put it back the mouse should be automatically reset when you do this.the slight ringing noise should stop unless the problem is hardware related. Then you would have to contact a tech.
Hope this support has been helpful?

Gyration gc15m, fully charged, trigger works to move mouse, but not LED. connect button does nothing. Scott

It is the battery. It is probably not taking a full charge. Buy a replacement battery, charge it up, then give it a try. I did. It worked.

Brand new out of box .... charging for over 20 hours blue light continues to flash, when I remove the mouse from the charging cradel the red optical light comes on but then stops after I hit connect is...

More then likely yes, or their is an other type of malfunction with the mouse itself. Since it is brand new out of the box it could of came that way. you can try taking it back to where you got it and exchanging it for a new one.

also make sure that you have installed it correctly. Unplug the usb adapter. Run the software that came with the mouse and install it. Then plug in the wireless usb adapter. then try hitting the connect button.

if your still having issues. like i said try returning it.

The audible noise is an indication that the internal Gyro has failed. There is no field fix for this problem. If the mouse is still under warranty have Gyration exchange the defective device for you.

I am unable to find a retail source for a replacement battery for the GP4102 Mouse, P/N AS00248001A, S/N FD035005217. Can I purchase it direct from Gyration?

So, someone above posted that you can rebuild the batteries...I took the mouse to my local Batteries Plus store, and they have a tech sitting there that can rebuild them...I bought a pack of 4 rechargeable batteries, and the tech there rebuilt the pack with new batteries...you just have to pop the cover off of the battery pack, and let the tech do the rest...cost me $15
