If you disconnect all the cables except the power cable, is the screen still white? White is unusual as it is the presence of all colors. Thus the white is probably coming from the video source.
If possible connect to a different video source.
seems like a very old monitor. old things do that, they die , get weak, or just ugly. this is called entropy. if the screen or the screen line drivers are bad. the fix is way more than a new monitor. get viewsonic. get the VA2246M-LED OR BIGGER. crisp perfect whites, and perfect colors... check it out. nice price drop , reciently.....
check by unplugging it from your cpu, is it still white or it changes colors, in case it is still white then monitor is to be replaced or else issue is with your graphics card
If this has happened to two monitors on the same computer, then i dont think the problem is with monitors, i think the problem is with the graphics on the computer, i suggest uninstalling the driver for the graphics card in device manager and then restart the pc to see if that makes any difference. The divice manager in in the properties of my computer icon, just right click and choose properties, then device manager.
check the wiring inside the monitor, pull the sceen out and move the wires with the screen on so you can see when it's working. then tape the wires where it works.
you need to have some one open the flat panel up and check the capacitors on the vga/ inverter card and see if they are domed shaped if so then you have blown capacitors and they are not a difficult fix but pricey as the electronics guys don't come cheap
You can degouse it.I think you placed your monitor in any magnetic field or near fan ac or any electric equepment.
