SOURCE: demo mode

Hi... your radio has 2 power wires. One is red and the other is yellow. Check for power on both of these wires with the key on. If both have power then you probhably have them switched around!! (one is constant power for memory to "remember" the settings, the other is key on power to that the radio knows the ignition key is on or off. From the sounds of what you are describing it sounds to me like you have your wires switched around...

You need to turn off the DEMO mode. It's on page 10 of the manual:

SOURCE: No AM or FM yet cd player works

Friend,

Maybe, there is a problem from the detector of you radio function to the amplifier. Try to check on it first or try resoldering from the detector section

I have a KDC-PM445U kenwood stereo and the problem is that it won't play any music, on the display it shows that it's reading the iPod or CD but there's no music. But when I play the radio then it plays...

Firstcheck whether it is still in demo mode. to cancel demo mode -- press [enter]when message flashes "to cancel DEMO mode press ENTER key" for 10-15 secs. Turn the control knob to "YES" and press ENTER key. If it still fails to operate properly press the rest button to return to factory settings(The reset button is behind the front console)

How do I stop the JVC from wasting the readout on KM200?

Hello mwalkercom

It sounds like your JVC is still set for factory default which is "DEMO" mode.

To cancel the DEMO, you need to go into PSM (personal settings mode).

1) Press and hold SEL until the display changes.
2) Press left/right rocker until DEMO is displayed.
3) Turn volume knob to change to DEMO OFF.
4) Press SEL briefly to exit.

Now you can use the DISP button to change the display to show the options you desire.

Hope this helps.

Stereo

The aux is for the cd player, there is no wire in the back for an aux. But you can buy an adapter that splices into the back which allows you to use the stereo to control your ipod. It only works because you could have a 6 cd changer stock, so it uses those controls.
