Kelvinator Stove Power Cable Connection

Hi, I just bought a stove and a 4pin cable to connect it to the power, but my problem is that this cable has a silver metal coming out next to the 4 pins ( I was told that this silver metal is earth) and now I do not know how to screw it in in the main port on the wall. Also on the other end this cable has 5 wires which are 3 red, 1 black and 1 green/yellow, and these have to go directly into the stove and I am not sure as to which wire should go where.
Can I atleast get the photo of the connected stove, Just to see the back view and wich wire should go where.

You should unscrew the small back panel, on the undercover should be a scetch of the wiring.
If not the three red are live, black is neutral and the g/y is earth, from number 5 to 1 connect as follows: 5 and 4-black,3,2,1 red and look for a screw type fitting or green wires to connect earth.
Its important to connect earth before operating the stove as it cuold lead to serious injury if not connected.
Hope this helps

220 stove has nothing hooked up to the neutral

TURN OFF POWER TO THE STOVE OR UNPLUG IT IMMEDIATELY BEFORE TOUCHING **ANYTHING**. I need the make/model of your unit to help you accurately. HOWEVER, the first thing you need to do is(and this applies if I'm interpreting you correctly)replace the power cord--it will be connected to the terminal block--on the vast majority of ovens, you have a left-hand terminal, generally known as L1(a power wire), a center terminal(*normally* the neutral connection), and then the right-hand terminal, generally known as L2(2nd hot supply wire). Take a picture of the AC outlet so you can purchase the correct power cable for your stove. Also, take a picture of the terminal block in the rear of the stove just to make sure. I'm assuming that the wires are all connected in the stove but the neutral wire is either broken or missing from the power cord. Due to how most ovens operate, THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION. When the unit is plugged in, even though the oven is off, there is still 120v applied to the heating elements. When you turn on the oven, instead of being connected to a ground, the other side of the heating elements are simply connected to 120v from the other side of the panel, adding up to 240v and the elements heat up. I hope this helps you!

Omega electric oven stove no power but power in

It sounds like you have a problem with the wire to the cooker. Possible that the cable has become broke inside.Best rewire with 10mm cable and see if it works.

I own a Stoves 600 DFDOa, the bottom fan oven is no longer working. Everything else is working. What can be the problem?

hello.
what this type of problem indicate is that theer have been a power failure from the power connection connected to the fan of the stove or there has been a problem from the wire connection that might change.
What you will need to do to solve the problem is stated below.
First of all put off the power supply connected to the stove from the wall, then get your self tools i.e the basic tools to unscrew the screws around the stove ,then trace the wire that connect power to the stove down to the fan , PLEASE NOT take more note on the red wire it the main power supply if it well fix or it born and also note if it small born then you can take care of it from there.
Thanks

Jenn-air electric down draft stove has power to the controlls but the power to the elements is not working on the stove and the oven. is there a fuse? What is my problem?

The electrical connections are as follows: L1 goes to one of the 120 VAC hot lines. N goes to neutral. L2 goes to the other 120 VAC hot line. You may have a separate ground wire (required on all new installations) connected to the stove frame. L1 + L2 = 240 VAC.

Your controls are connected to L1 and neutral. The wiring here is good. The heater elements are connected to L1 and L2 with no connection to neutral. Either the L2 line is open, or the L1 connection that provides power to the heaters is open (probably a different wire than the one providing power to the controls). L2 is the most probable culprit, and the problem could be the wall socket, the stove cord, or a bad connection inside the stove. (I recently fixed a case like this - both the socket and the plug on the cord were burned out.)

Panasonic NVGS60 mini dv camcorder

Hi!
I have had the same experience with the same laptop. In my case, I went to Add New Hardware in Control Panel, and had my laptop automatically search for the connected camera. From there, it was automatic.
If this doesn't work, try restarting your laptop with the connections in place. Then repeat the above described procedure.
Hope this helps!

PF on Whirlpool super capacity 465 electric Stove Model RF366PXGW2

PF = Power Failure. Sounds like you have a bad electrical connection. With your breaker off, check that the connections from the cord to the range are all good and tight. Next, check the receptacle where the cord plugs in. Remove the cover and check the connections there as well. Examine the power cord also. There could even be a poor connection at the breaker box (at the circuit breaker or the neutral buss bar) but not as likely, as your problem appeared when you moved your range.

Kelvinator stove

The stove has its own sepeate circuit breaker and power supply from the rest of the kitchen. Possible issues are a bad circuit breaker, power cord, outlet, or power connection at the range. Easiest checks to make first are visual burns at all these places.
