Try a computer/electronics store. Ask for a power cable for an lcd monitor. It should be the cable you need.

SOURCE: Vertical Black line

The plasma display screen is made of a matrix of elements connected to cables along the side and top. On your unit, some of these many, tiny connections are making contact intermittantly thus losing the elements in that area. These contacts are held in place with just pressure and if that is disturbed, you lose that line of elements. Try squeezing the cabinet of the TV on the outside at the top in the area of the loss and see if that makes a difference. May have to go inside and see if the contact assembly is disturbed or warped or something.
Hope ya fix it!

SOURCE: Hyundai 42" Plasma TV

hyundai hpt2450 tv switches on with standby button on remote or at tv and picture and sound ok but the little "tv" symbol at bottom of screen remains on locked in tv mode.It is not possible to change channels alter volume or change input source! The set does not respond to the remote or on board controls. It cannot be switched back to stanby with either the remote or the sets own standby button. It has to be switched off the the main on/off switch.
Any suggestions?

I do believe the Panel is bad and needs to be replaced. Check with the manfacture to confirm this.

The power cord for my Hyundai E320 flat screen tv was lost. I bought a generic brand cord, but the TV will no longer power up. Any clues?

Start by confirming the circuit is hot at the wall. Plug in a lamp or something.
Try your generic cord with another device to eliminate it as a variable.
What sort of cord is it?

Try www.hyundai-world.com That is the manufacturers website. Good luck. Ask them if that set can played in the USA without a special power supply.
