Do you have a route planned?? I have the GO630 and there's a powersave feature built in that turns it off when not in use, though it will stay on if I have a route set or if I'm moving in the car and it's tracking my location.

Why does the light fladh green and then stay green even though there is no battery in it!?

If you can remove the battery, remove it.. Wait about 30 seconds+ Then place the battery back in and try charging it again. This is a solution that fixes quite a high percentage of battery related issues.
EVEN works with laptops. Hope this helps. So many other issues could be wrong with your phone or source of power.. Good luck.

What probably happened is the battery slowly drained on the shelf and its shot. Basically the type of battery in these (and a lot of other devices) can not be left with a very low charge for long periods of time or it degrades them. What happened is the battery just degraded and now cant hold a charge.

Could be a problem with the DC Jack...do you find if you hold the charger in a certain way it stays on? If so I would say you need the DC Jack replaced which is usually around £70

Battery Won't Stay Charged

well if you have recieved new batteries and they wont stay charged then the problem isn't the batteries apparently. It could possibly be that your charger has gone bad and isn't charging your battery all the way. I suggest buying a new charger and it should fix your problem and if it's not your charger then it must be the outlet supplying voltage to the charger going bad. More than likely you need a new charger cause it seems like its not getting the voltage it needs to charge your phone.

Remote control that no longer works, ie. no response from the TV despite changing the batteries

You can get an IR remote tester at radio chack or frys. It's just a card that you point and shoot at with the remote. If you do not see red flashing on the card replace the remote . If you do then call serv shop. remote reciever is bad.

New laptop battery not charging

If you have had a couple of different batteries why not look at the charger If you have a Multi meter test the voltage and the see if it is putting enough in If you do not have a multi metre a small one can be purchsed under $20 and it can be used to check other things You need to eliminate things Battery then Charger and then laptop and if what you have said is not the battery it is most likely the charger
