From my past experience, yes. Not sure about the 11v being low. My kdf 45 acted that way when the main lamp went out. Found a replacement on Amazon for around $45 and now good to go! So far about a year and a half. Have had to replace about 4 for friends and family so far with same symptoms. Its in the rear of the TV if this is a DLP.

Make sure the lamp is OK first. It needs to seated correctly, if the tv is blinking 3 times it means one of the switches within the lamp tunnel is not working. Make sure the lamp door is seated correctly.

4 times blinking light indicates problem with exhaust fan in KDS-R50XBR1 and possible causes are as follows:
-Fan 1-4 power is not supplied. (ASU board)
-Fan connector is not attached securely.
-Fan caught wires or harnesses.
Please check exhaust fan in tv, it is located at lower right of tv looking at rear of tv.

Its time to replace lamp in this tv because existing lamp has reached to end of its working life span and causing problem. If lamp got broken, you will see lamp light lit on tv front but weaker lamp cause above symptoms.
Lamp replacement procedure is easy and written in user manual.
Buy Sony original lamp for good and bright picture in tv.

I too have a Sony KDS-R60XBR1 tv and the issue that you are experiencing is due to one of your fans in the rear of the tv is not working.  The tv automatically shuts off in protective mode.  Make sure the POWER/STANDBY light is blinking and not the lamp light below it.  Is the power/standby blinking 4 times in red? If, yes then its a fan that needs to be replaced.  If its the lamp light blinking then you need to replace the lamp.  The lamp is easy to replace by ordering the lamp either from Sony for $250 or find it cheaper for approx. $150 from other DLP sources and replace youself by following your manual.  I hope this helps you.

I bought a True replacement from the PartsStore through Amazon.com and it cost me about $185, but it was a Phillips bulb and the full cartridge replacement. I went with the aftermarket bulb only replacement the first time, lasted less than a week and haven't resolved that issue yet.
