V3i keypad Hi there , my key pad wont work properly, i think i had damp hands before this happened, have i ruined the handset? Or with time will it fix its self? Jurek

The problem is caused by dirt's and moisture in the keypad's contact points. To resolve this, you have dismantle the phones keypad section and clean both the contacts in the board and the carbonized soft keypad switch. If you have any concerns on this issue feel free to leave a comment.

see the keypad membrane if it is have corossion cleaning alignment is a must or replace the flex

It happens when the number 9 key is overused or does not press the main keypad IC,

Please take the Handset to the nearest repair place/Service centre who can change the keypad and tell them check the keypad.

They will be able to suggest you what needs to be done.

the BMW is complicated since i had a similar problem with mine. the keypad is connected partly to the ECM and the TDS. the connector to the keypad partially gets corroded over time and wont send the correct signal to disable the alarm. Check the connection first. if it is fine. disconnect the power to the battery for 5 minutes to let the TDS reset and try again. if it fails then chances are the key pad is faulty

Upma I have experienced this before and if the phone has been damp by body heat or other moisture then it does do this. try drying it out with a hairdrier on a cool setting. then leave it to dry properly for a couple of days in a warm NOT HOT place. the keypad will start to work and the battery will settle as well. let me know how this goes. t1m0thy

plz open the phone case and clean your keypad
if it does not work then show in nokia gallery it will be done free of cost.

N72 keypad is not working

you need to have the flex cable replaced

i'' ve experience that too, i bought a new v3i model. used for almost 2 weeks. same thing happen keypad won't work. keypad Flex Damaged need to replace..imagine 2 weeks old....how durable this unit..
