Where is the igniter located on a ge profile dryer

You need to take the front off the dryer and it will be alongside the gas tube going inside the combustion chamber. The igniter is one of those curly wand types and has a quick disconnect connector on it and is secured with a couple of screws.

Here are some diagrams that might help you:

Ge Profile Gas dryer - It takes 2 hour for a load of towels to dry - iis that normal?

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.

Heats but does not have high heat. Takes about 80 min. to dry a average load of clothes. Dryer will heat up but does not get hot enough

have you checked to be sure you venting is clear leading to the outside of you home. obstructed venting will form your dryer to shut the heat off prematurely with then result in long dry times.
if it is a gass dryer, the the gas valve coils could be goind bad but check the venting first.

How do you take the front panel off of a GE Profile Prodigy Dryer DPSR483 GAWW? There is a squeeking noise inside.

Best off to call a reliable service company such as Sears. You have to remove the top and take 2 screws off that hold the front panel on but this is a gas appliance which requires a gas technician to legally work on it.

My dryer is taking 2-3 cycles to dry clothes most of the time, but last night it did two loads the first try and then is back to 2-3 cycles today.

Remove the connecting vent material from the rear of the dryer. Run a regular cycle. If it dries normally, find and clean the blockage in the connecting vent.
