Maybe you need a good codec pack i use k-lite mega codec pack google free k-lite mega and download and install it

Try to update your sound card, or better still uninstall iTunes and re-install iTunes

you should uninstall audio drivers then install the updated drivers for your audio.

then un-install iTunes and its all apple product using revo un-installer. that will ask to remove all the registry so while uninstalling the programme select all and delete them.

then download and install latest iTunes.

it will start working.

if it doesn't you can restore your computer to a previous date on which your itunes was working properly.

to do so.

click on Start >>>All Programms>>> Accessories>>System Tools>> System Restore>> Select the Date and Restore your Computer.

You're most likely using a RealTech or sigmatel audio card in your Dell. This is a common issue with this card. Uninstall and reinstall the driver and the issue will go away. Make sure you have the correct version for your OS and get the newest version from your site and you shouldn't have any issues with it happening again.

Try reinstalling quicktime. Go on control panel uninstall quicktime. Then go to this url:http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Download it again. And install it again. Itunes should now work.

If it doesn't, for Video problems: Open QuickTime Player and go to 'Edit' -> 'Preferences' -> 'QuickTime Preferences' -> 'File Types' -- check here to see if the file format of your problem video files is selected.

For Audio problems: Open QuickTime Player and go to 'Edit' -> 'Preferences' -> 'QuickTime Preferences' -> 'Audio' -- Here you will see a Device is needed that will play your sound. Select 'Audio Playback and Recording Devices', If you are having an Audio problem it may be due to having no device or an improper device.

go to control panel again and click the "device manager" and seek for sound, video and game controler (speaker icon) -->click "+" whill show u is the hardware work properly or not, if not work properly will signity with "?" --> right click and click update driver
(if u have cd sound card driver do it while cd software inserted)

or reinstalling your sound card device software

open control panel-->double click add new hardware icon and follow instruction if ask are conected with the hardware click yes then next.. that way wil show u waht sound card type of yours -->
note : the "?" icon is the hardware need to a driver and not yet be installed..

I would suggest u to the restore your computer because somebody or you might uninstall the sound card software by mistake. Go on start then all programs then accesories then system tools and then restore

Go to Start> Run

Type in 'Services.msc' without the quotes.

Find Windows Audio in the list. Most likely it has not 'started', as stated beside each of the items in the list. Click on it, then click 'start'. Re open your itunes and it should be working.

go to the support site for your computer manufacturer and download drivers according to your model number
