Question about KitchenAid KSSP48QMS Side by Side Refrigerator
My fridge needed a filter change which I do every 4-6 months. This time I bought a MWF Brita instead of the smart filter that I normally buy. For whatever reason, although it fits fine, I have no water coming from the fridge. I have taken off and reinstalled it twice - still nothing. Any help?

i dont believe so water will fill it, it should reconize the filter and fill it... i believe i may be wrong but that is how it usually is.... did it come with instructions?

When you activate the switch, do you hear the inlet valve buzzing? If you do, check the container or tubing in the fresh food side and make sure it is not frozen. If you do not hear the valve buzzing, chech the valve. If it appears to be ok, then you will need to check the switch inside the door control panel.
Please let me know if I can help further.
Thanks
Vic

SOURCE: I purchased a Kitchenaid Refridgerator 6 months
If you purchased this machine NEW 6 months ago, everything on it is under warranty. You should contact the selling dealer to verify you are entitled to a free service call. Changing the filter is routine maintenance and in no way should affect the warranty.
