Inducer Fan Seems To Be Rattling

I have a Carrier Weather Maker 8000 and lately it started this rattling noise. Its when the furnace first turns on and the inducer fan kicks on to clean out the flue. I checked the blower while I had the fan on the thermostat and it was extremely quiet and running well. What could be wrong with the inducer fan/motor that is causing it to rattle like this. A guy said a screw popped out of place but I have a hard time believing that because there is so many other things it can be and sound like it would be realistic in happening. Can anyone help?

the exhaust has to exit some were hopefully not in the attic,,,,,weather maker 8000 is a non condensation furnace it has metal flu pipe wich goes into a chimney or power vented outside thru the wall.....in some cases the furnace and water heater are tied together to share a common chimney or flu liner mice chipmunks burds leafs bees all can find there way in thru the outlet...... its simple enough to remove the flue from the exiting connection of the furnace and look in just remember to put the screws back in place as well as the flu pipe

My janitrol furnace started to make a lot of noise over the last few days. Could something be loose or does it need to be cleaned?

I hate to say it but it sounds like the bearing in the fan is going out. If your lucky there's a replacement...if not then a new furnace. You will have to have it looked at by a furnace tech.

Its too bad I can't hear the noise then I'd have a better answer for you, sorry.

Flame sensor dirty

Sandpaper lightly scrubbed over the sensor tip to remove any contamination.

Sometimes cleaning is not enough and the sensor must be replaced.

I have a new home 1 yr and when the furnace kicks in, I am assuming the fan it makes a noise but as soon as the heat starts the noise is gone, could this be the furnace blower

Check by turning the unit off and turn the fan to on. Do you hear the noise now? The noise your hearing could be coming from your combustion fan assembly instead. Newer furnaces have a in-shot burner and are nosier than the old style of heater.

Fan Won't Spin

Is it humming like a stuck motor or rattling, like a loose fan. If it's rattling, the fan could eith be loose on the motor or, the center hub could have broken loose.

Gas not coming on Carrier Weather Maker 8000

either the gas valve is not opening or your not getting gas to the furnace.  also the gas valve won't open unless the draft motor comes on.  if the ignitor is trying to light, but there's no gas, it might be a bad gas valve. i would call your closest NATE certified contractor
