Reinstall the drivers and try using it on a matt surface. If you got any utility software with the mouse, do install it. If issue persist, you should replace it.

Gearhead wireless optical mouse kb5150w turns on then right back off

The mouse gets seriously poor reviews on Newegg.com. People report it is cheaply made and tends to stop working.

I have a GE 99908 Optical Mouse. All of a sudden today, it has stopped working periodically. I have to let it sit for a few seconds and then it starts again. I'm not sure what's going on.

Chances are, the batteries in the mouse are weak. If putting in new batteries does not fix the problem, there may be another device nearby that's causing interference.

I want to install a Microsoft wireless optical mouse but not sure how to do it.

Hi,
With the wireless mouse you also have a wireless adapter that is connected via usb to your computer. Insert the usb adapter in an available usb port on your computer. Wait for a few seconds until windows verfies and installs the new device. Then press the sync button located under the wireless adapter and at the same time press the sync button under your mouse.
The mouse will be ready to use.

HP Optical Mouse Curser jumps around

I respectfully disagree with amusedgeek. He is correct aout the textured surface, though.Optical mice will take snapshots many times a second and reposition the cursor according to where the pattern was last. Rather than a single color, a pattern is your best bet for an optical mouse. The only thing I recommend is to make sure the mousepad isn't reflective at all- no glossy or semi-glossy surface. You want it to be non-reflective. Just to be sure there is nothing wrong with the mouse, you can test it simply by putting it on a newspaper and scrolling around.

Mouse stops to soon.

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
