Hello

No we only offer expert advice on troubleshooting products. ie Computers, cars ect.

The only place you'll really be able to get a replacement screen for that TV would be from the company itself. Go to Sharp's website, find there contact page or customer support. Send them an email asking them if they can get you a replacement screen. Of course make sure you send the make and model of tv in the email.

They will be able to help you would with that.

I will tell you that buying a replacement and having it fixed might cost about the same if not more than a new tv.

With either plasma or LCD TVs, a crack in the panel requires that the panel be replaced. It can not be repaired. If you can supply the make and model number, I can get you the part numbers and costs. Realize that the replacement part cost could exceed a replacement set.

If it in not cracked the fault maybe the inverter which supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or the CCFL lamp maybe faulty.

If the LCD screen is cracked then the LCD screen needs to be replaced.
If the screen has a backlight problem then the fault could be a faulty inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp, or the CCFL lamp is faulty. These items are cheaper to replace than the whole LCD screen.

Is the LCD screen cracked?
If the screen is blank or has a very dim image then the fault could be a faulty inverter which supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or the CCFL lamp is faulty.

If you are trying to disassemble the LCD screen and hear cracking sounds then - the crushing/cracking sound is most likely that you have cracked the LCD screen in several places. If you look at an acute angle you will see cracks in the LCD screen.

Where can I sell a pioneer pdp 5070pu plasma tv for parts?
HI, the best way to do this is to disassemble the set and post all the individual internal parts like the power board and main PCB logic and v boards, on line on a e-bay type of sale forum. this way, you can make more money. if you post the entire plasma screen with the crack as is, you will not get many hits. is will be assumed that it is damage goods.

Breaking this set down and, posting the internal circuitry piece by piece will make you more money in this case. The power supply board will sale for at least 289.00. and the main logic(PCB) will sale for 300 to 350. i would go this route to maximizes your gain.
