Brief picture for 30 seconds, then lamp button blinks

I just had the ballast replaced on my PT-40LC12 40 inch Panasonic. I have only used the TV for a total of 5 hours, and now the lamp button blinks with no picture after I turn it on. I get a picture for 30 seconds, then blinking lamp button. Can you help me?

Found that the thermistor/temp measuring device is suspect, no resistance across legs. There is a label there that says F701 see service manual
http://www.goodmans.net/get_item_th-tf117c_thermal-fuse-117-degrees-celsius.htm
I went here for a tech manual for the Panasonic
tv.
http://www.ManualsParadise.com
then ordered
Manufacturer: Panasonic
Part Description: FUSE
Part Number: LSJA0411-1
from
PartStore.com
it was mounted to the case that holds the lamp. had to remove the back panel, etc. Also think I had to splice in the fuse or something. was a while ago.

i purchased a NTE8115 from my electronics supplier, closest I could find.
Radio shack also has them.

remove the back cover and measure for continuity across the thermal fuse
above the lamp housing.
if open jump it wth a 5 amp fuse, be sure to close the safety switch with
the small blue lever then try to power on.
If comes on ok you will need to replace the entire ballast assembly to get
that fuse.
Panasonic does not have a part number for just the fuse on the PT40LC
series.
It is possible to cut off the fuse and replace with another but dont solder

Panasonic PT-61DLX76-K TV, no picture, red lamp indicator flashes once every five seconds. Bulb looks okay visually. Panasonic says bad ballast I need confirmation and service manual.

Hello.
Lamp should be replaced in average every 2.5 years. Bad lamp could look OK but it is not.
Replace the lamp first if it is older than 2-3 years. You have to do it in any case. If new lamp will not
work, only then you can start thinking about ballast replacement.
If you are OK with the screwdriver and you have technical skills you don't need service manual to replace ballast. You will need to remove rear cover and locate it near the lamp. It is not too hard.
Regards.
Russ.

Tv has no picture or sound. replaced bulb no help greenlight blinks 79 times. red lights start blinking

Lamp light flashing once every 5 seconds or twice every 5? Twice every 5 seconds,....lamp failure, once every 5 seconds,...ballast or thermal fuse failure. You have a lamp, ballast or thermal fuse problem. The ballasts are a discontinued part and can only be purchased used at approx. $225.00 or rebuilt for around $175.00 less any service charges to diagnois and repair.

Panason PT-50LC13 TV won't come on, light blinks green then red

Ballast failure is more that likley the problem. Is the lamp light blinking,...once every 5 seconds? Discontinued part and can only be purchased used or rebuilt. Rebuilt units are available, check Ebay. Have a service type person confirm problem before throwing good money after bad!

PT-50LC13 Lamp issue

i hope the lamp was panasonic or bought in a good place (average cost of this lamp is 250 dllrs)
if the lamp is trustfully. i would put attention in the back side when you listen the arcing that the lamp at least try flashing.

This moment of the repair where you are is critical because you arrive to conclusions according to the process you already did and suspect that what it is already done is fine (but is really true that lamp works plus is really true that the arcing is because the arcing devise arcs or is only the primary of the transformers in the ballast who holds 300 volts in the primary (really good voltage to make arcing sound too)
Now the error code is going to be 50 % good or not: i mean or gives you the error of the ballast and lamp or any voltage is missed in the power supply ( i don't have the error codes chart for you with me) because i would like to go far and the problem was in the same place where i started/

No picture or sound

The bulb may need replacing. If a new bulb doesn't correct the problem, then the ballast usually needs repairing.
