No Video I was given this TV and I don't have a owners manual or a remote for it. I am trying to hook up my DVD player, but I can't figure out how to get the TV into video mode. I have gone through the menu and didn't see it there. I put the TV on channel 3 and played a DVD and the screen didn't change at all. We do not have cable on this TV. We do have an antennae (rabbit ears) so we can get a couple of local channels. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. trying to install Logitech 520 remote, with Yamaha receiver, RCA DVD player and DirectTV modem. Have completely redone cables according to Yamaha receiver instructions. Have completely, according to Logitect software and online help, programmed 520 remote. All I can get is SNOW on the TV screen. Since I do not have the remote for the TV (all other devices involved were used to program the Logitech 530), I feel this must be where my error(s) are. Any help would be appreciated. George

Have you tried using 01 or 00 as a channel to view your DVD input?

Try that...
Also, try looking for your manual here:

Good luck!

Cannot get the tv into 'video1' (or ' video2') mode

Unfortunately you need the original remote. There is still a good chance you can find a Sanyo universal remote. Check your local Circuit city or Super K mart or Walmart and look inthe electronics sections. I have often seen the Sanyo universal remote! And yes it will have the options you are looking for. Good Luck!

Can't figure how to hook up a dvd player to my model 1359 tv. this was given to me without booklet

if your tv has a a/v hook up you will see a set of plugs that are the same colors as the wires coming out of the dvd player just plug in the wires to the corresponding plugs, then turn your tv to either a/v mode or video mode using the input button on remote, depending on the # of devices your tv can accept it may say video 1 etc.

if you don't have the corresponding plugs on your tv you may need to visit your local electronics store to pick up a converter or see if they have a less expensive solution

hoped this helped

Mintek DVD-1600 Setup to cable box/tv

A dvd player that doesn't record hooks straight to the television, not the cable box. Tv's typically have av jacks. If yours doesn't, you will need to buy an rf modulator. If your tv has the jacks, U will need to use your tv remote and hit tv video or input or source on that tv remote to switch between input and tv modes.

I just Cant figure out how to hook this DVD Video Player to my TV

You must give a clearer explanation of the type of television you are using and the type of cables you are using in the hook-up. You should give the television name and model number. The type of connections you are trying to use. What the problem is.Is a conflict between the remotes or just a user problem. You should find all reasonable hook-up information for you television in the owners manual. The same goes for the dvd player. Hope this helps you with your problem.

Can't play dvd player on JVC tv; I don't have a JVC remote.

I hooked up a Pioneer DVD player to my TV and when I play a DVD the volume cannot be controlled by the TV. It just plays at one level and on the louder side. When I'm watching regular TV and the DVD player is on and playing a disc I start to hear the DVD soundtrack at the same time as the whatever I'm watching on TV. I should not be able to hear anything until I switch over to Video 1. Any suggestions?

Hook ups

use a video splitter for the audio and video, or go out of the DVD player in to the DVR, out of the DVR into the TV (WARNING!!!! Trying to hook a DVD player to any recording device may trigger the copyright protection, causing blue flashes, and distorted pictures)

KS3102 Koss DVD player hookup to Toshiba how??

I have an owner's manual for that system and would be glad to copy the diagrams for you. Additionally, I think that you need red, blue and green wires from the back of the Koss to the inputs on the TV.

DVD player not showing on tv

I'm not sure, but, if you use the channel down button on the television, the set may go to the video inputs. If not a local retailer should have an inexpensive universal remote that would work on this set and have an input or tv/video button. If you use a cable box, the remote can be programed also. If you need more help, reply to this post and I can come up with more solutions when I get to my shop next week.
