Sounds like an overlaod in the power supply. Check the cap at C835 and if possible use a cap-analyser on all of them in the PS circuit. Are there any signs of life when you press the power button?

HELP! I think my TV got zapped and is ruined from storm!

Check whether the power outlet has power. If it has, I suggest please do not attempt to switch on the TV, unless checked by a qualified service technician.

Hi there!
One of reasons your tv not working, the thunder storm /lighting possibility has burnt your Tv micro processor. get a technician to check the power supply section too because during the thunder storm your TV circuitry received excessive voltage .
If is the main processor is burnt you have to change it for the TV to work .

My wd-60c9 60 in. dlp hdtv quit working after a thunder storm it was plugged into a powerstrip . The only this that wont work are the tv and direct tv receiver.

fried it, unfixable, get a new one. and start unplugging everything during storms. if you still want to watch tv while there is storm get a old crappy small tv to watch while you high priced one is in safe position(unplugged)
