Sony KDF-55WF655 'rebooting'?

My Sony KDF-55WF655 55" 2005 TV seems to be "rebooting" in that it will be on, then the screen and audio shuts off and the green power light blinks once per second until the screen and audio return. This is now happening every 3-5 minutes or so. The manual says the green light flashes to indicate "The lamp for the light source is ready to turn on." Nothing more than that!

One time when we turned the TV off, the red lamp light flashed in intervals of five flashes, but only that one time and never again.

Hi,
Please check lamp in tv as pop sound seems broken lamp.
Did you replaced lamp in last 2-3 years in tv? If not, then its lamp that got broken and tv needs new lamp.
Lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual and its easy, please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv.

Problem for Sony Grand WEGA KDF-55WF655. Hello,
5 times Red LED blinks means Lamp Driver Error. (KDF-55WF655)
2 possible reasons, either Lamp is gone or Ballast Supply got bad.
Replace lamp first, in most cases it solved the problem.
How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently?

The detail of your fault is given below according to the SELF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.

The description is given below:

6 : Low B error When no "DD 6V " is detected, pin 129 of TV-micro is low and it turns off the main power.


Suggestion:
This problem is little bit technically difficult, therefore i advise you to please contact any expert who can handle this or contact SONY SERVICE CENTER.
