You should be able to online to the manufacturer of your products and download manuals. However, I will try to help.

Connect the sound output cables from your DVD player including, left/right(white/red) as well as the Coax output/input if your DVD and your Carver each have this feature for enhanced sound on certain DVDs, and connect to the matching DVD inputs on your Carver.

Then, connect your DVD video output either by use of your RGB(RED/GREEN/BLUE cables or an S Video cable to your the matching video inputs on your t.v.

On the back of your Carver, you will find outputs for left and right speakers, connect to the left and right speakers with proper wire. Make sure that the 2 conductor wire is connected with the same side(polarity) on all speakers for the best sound quality.

You will also find rear channel left and right outputs on your amp, connect those to your rear right and left speakers.

Connect the center channel speaker to the center channel speaker output on your amp.

If your Amp has a sub-woofer output and you have a subwoofer, make the connections on that as well.

Test all of the speakers with a feature that many amps have on the menu using your remote, simply called test. if all speakers are connected correctly you will be able to hear each one as they are individually tested by the amp. Hope this helps out.

Denon AVR-3300 Audio Video Surround Receiver. I have a question. Am I able to hook up regular speakers that are not surround to it and have them work on there? Please let me know. Thank you.

Question edited for clarity and 'AVE' to 'AVR'..

Yes of course no problem. The speakers are just that, a speaker, the processing is done by the Denon box not the speaker. You can use any speaker with an impedence of 6 to 16 ohms.

Hello Fixya team, I need help!

To set up your home theater system with the equipment you mentioned, follow these steps:
  1. Connect the Onkyo receiver to the NEC TV using an HDMI cable. Make sure the HDMI input on the TV is set to the correct input for the Onkyo receiver.
  2. Connect the Panasonic DVD player to the Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable.
  3. Connect the Firestick Lite to the Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable.
  4. Connect the Panasonic speakers to the Onkyo receiver using speaker wires. Make sure you connect the speakers to the correct speaker terminals on the receiver, which are usually labeled with the speaker's position (e.g. front left, front right, center, surround left, surround right).
  5. Configure the Onkyo receiver to use the correct input for each device. For example, set the input to "DVD" when you want to watch a movie on the Panasonic DVD player, or set the input to "Firestick" when you want to watch content on the Firestick Lite.
  6. Configure the audio settings on the Onkyo receiver to use the correct audio format for your content. For example, if you are watching a movie with Dolby Digital surround sound, make sure the receiver is set to decode Dolby Digital audio.
  7. Adjust the volume and other audio settings on the Onkyo receiver as needed to optimize the sound quality.
Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to enjoy surround sound audio from your Panasonic speakers through the Onkyo receiver.

Hi There, I have a Marantz SR7005 Receiver and Bose 901 Series VI speakers with the Bose equalizer. I'm struggling to figure out the best way to connect the Bose equalizer/speakers to the SR7005. ...

It sounds like you've read one of my many posts on 901 deployment in the AV world.

Functionally, what is the difference between one amp with 'x' channels or 'x' mono amps? Nothing. Pre-outs don't know or care what else an external amp does.

According to this link http://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/products/new/642968.html those amps are 2- and 5-channel, respectively.

There was a time when I had two bridged-mono Carver Cube atmps (at a real 400 watts) pushing one 901 each but that was big time overkill.

I now use a Carver AV-406 (functionally the same as your MM7055) with the 901 EQ in between the AV Receiver's front pre-outs and two 110-watt channels. Other channels on the AV-406 pull subwoofer and surround back duties. My AVR directly powers only the center and surround speakers.

The MM7025 would work for you.

I am trying to hook my Bose Acoustimass 15 Series II surround speakers using a Denon AV Surround Receiver AVR-1804/884 to my Sony DVD player and Panasonic LCD TV. I have the speakers all connected...

If the speakers work with test tones this has nothing to do with them and all to do with your attachment and setup of the sources.

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Denon-AVR-1804-Receivers-manual/id/363bh837/t/2/

Stop guessing. Have you looked at all the manuals?

The other devices you're inquiring about are not named in your post. Name the makes and models first, then we'll look for the manuals. Then (maybe) find a solution. You could run them by the manufacturers' support sites or these guys...

I have a Denon AVR 3805 receiver. It does not have a Main Amp in or a pre Amp out in the back. How do I properly hook up the Bose 901 equalizer to this receiver? I use the 901 speakers as surround...

By properly, you must mean WITH the Active EQ.

According to this picture, you're in luck BUT...

http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/receivers/denon-avr-3805/denon_AVR3805_rear_lg.jpg

(Short answer from personal experience.)

There is no way around this part. Get a separate power amp for the 901's if you want to use them in a multichannel way or alongside non-901 speakers. A good 100-wpc amp will do. (I like Carver)

Connect the Active EQ between the Front pre-outs and the amp input. Run speaker assignment, levels, etc and have fun.

Helpful Hint: If you don't have sufficient between-speaker room for proper reflection off the front wall you CAN turn the 901's around and you won't believe the amount of air these things push! I have actually felt it ten feet away after explosions or crashing ocean wave sounds. Now THAT is multi-media.

Best amps for bose 901

You need an amplifier with at least 200 wpc to get the most out of your BOSE. Look into getting a NAD, ADCOM or CARVER amplifier. I prefer CARVER myself. I am running a CARVER M-500T(251 wpc) on my 901's and they sound incredible.

Surround speakers are not working

Yes. Make sure your speakers are first properly connected, then enabled to operate on the setup menu. Then run either a test tone for all channels or media recorded in surround sound or run in 4 channel stereo to test.
Not all media will produce surround effects 100% of the time.

Cant get rear speakers to Work AVR 745 7.2 Surround!!!

Another way to solve this rear speakers problems is to go to the equalizer and have the system recognizes the sound coming out of all speakers. The AVR 745 comes with a microphone on the stick, using that to run the manual equalizer. It is the manual equalizer will set the rear speakers.
