Magnavox 32MF337B/27 power supply works and like another writer when power is turned on the audio works the channels change and you can tell that all remote and on set keys work, but no picture except an occational flash of the channel number and like it was trying to display an illegal color has a few lines of color then blanks till the channel is changed again.

Check inside for Bulging electrolytic capacitors and replace them. Samsung was famous for it.

This is on protection mode as something is loading it on switch on from the secondary power supply. This might need attention of a qualified service technician.

Sounds like a bad component in the power supply. Most likely a bad capacitor.

Magnavox has issues with puffed caps on the power supply. This sounds like its a 32 inch lcd tv. I tried searching for a service manual for this and can't find one. If it is an lcd you need to look at the capacitors on the power supply. If they are puffed up, you will need to replace them with equal or slightly larger valued capacitors. The capacitor values are mfd and voltage printed on the capacitors themselves. You will need a soldering iron to replace them. Lay the tv, if it is an lcd, on a flat surface cushioned by a blanket. Make sure the surface is large enough to support the tv frame, as you don't want to cause damage to the panel. remove the back of the tv. There are numerous screws, and once the back is off, check the power supply pcb for puffed caps. This is the board with the power cord attached. I know in magnavox tv there is a cage covering the power supply, so remove any connectors because you will have to flip the cage housing the power supply to get to the caps. If you feel confident, give it a try. Let me know how it goes

Replace your capasitors on the power circuit board.. They are junk to begin with.. They are cheap.. Thats all i can suggest..

Yes,power supply board have dead capacitors leakage problems.These capacitors useally bulge up or burst open.U know how to solders?Look in the power supply board rerplaced these capacitors will solved the power problem.Or tries Websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

hi there, you do have a power supply section problem, check the bleeder resistor which is 100K ohms or up. do some test. ty
