Sony KP-53XBR45 rear projection TV: Coax input Selector Antena part on rear has the AUX input 'male' connector but the TV/Cable 'male' connection end is missing. Is there a way to use the AUX or any other secondary connection method to send cable signal to TV so TV can be watched (i.e. VCR/DVD with channel changing capabilities)? Or, do we have to replace the (1-251-321-12 part # Selector Antenna?

You can replace the connector or if you have a cable box with audio and video outputs on it---connect them into one of the sets of jacks on the back of the set--switch to that input and change channels with the box----you can also do the same thing with a VCR--hook the cable into it and use its video and audio output jacks to connect to the video and audio input on the back of the TV.

In this case (the VCR does not have to work except as a tuner) you will go to whatever input you connect to and use the VCR to change channels.

These are a little less easy to use but costs you nothing---I am here to help, if you have any questions or need help let me know.

Sony KP-53XBR45 i have a bad convergence board. Do I fix it or replace it. Where is the part available

Hi,
Replace convergence out ICs to get it fixed.
You can replace these chips if you can replace parts in circuit board with proper tools or ask local tv tech.
Required ICs are available with Part Store.
Thanks.

Sony kp 51ws510 upgrade to HD - how to do this

There are inputs on the back of the set. If your tv is Sony 51ws510 then it is capable of HD, but you have to have component or DVI cables to connect the tv to the HD device (HD cable box or DVD player).

On your set the component inputs on the back of the tv are video5 and video6 in the middle located in a vertical line (red, green, blue rca video connections with red and white rca audio connections).

You also have a DVI input toward at the top of the input panel (white connector with red and white rca audio connectors).

Stand by on my sony kp-53xbr tv is blinking steady

That can be caused by lots of different things going wrong. You will not be able to repair that yourself, and will need to have a technician look at that kind of a problem.

The attachment point for the coax cable was pulled off-broken off

You'll need to take it to a repair shop. There are high voltage capacitors inside a television which will hold a charge even after all power is removed. I would highly advise against making this repair yourself.
