There may be excess water in the water reservoir. Empty the washer Turn it off at the mains, and unplug it, then put some old towels on the floor, tip the washer forward until the excess water comes out, Reconnect and try again. Hope this helps it works for me and saves ££££'s in repair fees

I keep getting the HF error message even though I have removed the hoses and cleaned the screens. Is there anything else I can do? The water will run for about a minute then the error message will come on.

Hi There
i just want to say Merry X-mas and a Happy New Year. i found this for you and i hope this will get you in the write direction.
F/H No water detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected.

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.
Or
If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • If there is no water in the unit:
    1. Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
    2. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
    3. Verify inlet valve operation
  • If there is water in the unit:
    1. Verify Drain pump operation
    2. Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch

Dishwasher stuck´s in program

Hi there,

Well to Reset the error message as follows: To cancel the error message, turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again.

If resetting not work then you can check that the stopcock is opened fully or whether the water inlet hose is kinked. Check that the water inlet filter is not clogged and clean it, if necessary, as described in the operating instructions. Check that the drain pump is not clogged.

Good Luck!!

No water entering machine - mains supply OK

On a Whirlpool ADP4731 dishwasher, try this...
Double check that the under-sink valve is open, providing hot water to the dishwasher.
If it is, the water inlet valve should be checked for proper operation.
The F4 error code means "drainage fault" which should be checked after the water inlet problem has been resolved.
Good Luck!

F4 Fault indication

F4 is a water inlet fault. It doesn't make sense if you have this fault indication with water flowing into the unit. Does the dishwasher drain properly? Usual suspects for an F4 indication would be a clogged inlet line, water supply turned off, bad fill valve, or a control board failure. Let me know if this helps, or give me a little more information on what you have done to correct so far.
