Mine does power on. Screen is black but LCD does light up (with black display). Shows "HOLD" when I click on the play button when it's key locked. (No other button shows HOLD). When I hold the play button (switching it off) it shows the expected version thing at the bottom but it's no longer 2GB......AU HK but 0GB......AU HK
Obviously doesn't play music, or even allow data transfer/format. Nothing. Mine does power on. Screen is black but LCD does light up (with black display). If the battery is good, mine died after 4 years, check the settings in Power Options, look for dim when on battery power. Increase the % to Max or 100%. see what happens. Still have problem consider replacing Battery.
Doesn't this player use a normal AA battery?
If not, and it has a rechargeable battery built in then there are 2 possibilities.
One, the cheap battery you got from China is no good. I always wonder how they can sell batteries for under $10 and ship all the way from China for free. I suspect it's because they are pretty crappy batteries.
two, your player has a short in it somewhere that is draining the battery. i have an iPod that does that. I fully charge it and turn it off. Next morning it's dead again and i've replaced the battery numerous times.
check for battery problems.. Check for battery power holding with a multimeter (If u dont know get help from a person who knows measuring the power rating).
Else, if the problem is not with the battery, try downloading and reinstalling the firmware from here.. click on the below link
I have lost my battery cover for my Sony Cybershot DSC-T10. IF your camera is water damaged and you want to sell it. Let me know, I could use the battery cover that slides and "clicks" into place.
Mine did the same thing. Please if anyone finds out how to fix it or at least if there is somebody i can go to to at least recover the music files then please contact me at [email protected]
I've got the same problem and wrote to iriver. Thge only suggestion they could provide me with was to replace the battery. I tried that and it didn't work. I'm at a loss alos as to how to get my T10 to power on?
Somehow the driver went missing. Click on "My Computer" and then click "view system information," then "hardware," then "device manager," then click on iRiver (it'll be there even without the driver) and then it will give you a yes/no option to look for driver software. Obviously, click "yes" but notice that you are also cued to put in a CD "if you have one." I still had the CD. It will search both the CD and online for a driver, but the computer found the driver software on the CD. Make sure you only put the CD in when cued to do so. If you don't have the CD, then contact iRiver about getting a driver download or having them send you a copy of the CD.
That happend to me and i found a solution. First go to my computer and on your left click on VIEW SYSTEM INFORMATION then go to HARDWARE now click in DEVICE MANAGER it should say T10 around there look for T10 or IRIVER T10 and click on it press in UPDATE THIS TIME ONLY or an option you like and click next then click on the RECOMENDED OPTION to install the iriver t10 after you do that a magnifying glass should appear and wait and it would install saying MTP. If still need help send me a message at [email protected]
