Question about Panasonic DMR-E80H DVD Recorder
My DMR-E80H says every blank DVD I put into it is now "...a non-recordable disc." I've been using it for years and it just started this. I've tried two different brands that have both worked fine in the past. Has the record laser died or something? Can it be fixed or is it time to replace?
One solution is to clean the laser lens. Try using one of those lens cleaning CDs.
Also, sometimes the DVD may slip on the spindle, which may cause reading errors. Spindle cleaning usually involves taking the machine apart.

Testimonial: "Not sure where I first saw the suggestion about cleaning the laser lens, but I bought a $20 cleaning disc and suddenly it worked again. Thanks!"
