I just had RCN cable installed. I can use the RCN remote to change channels, but I have to use the Sylvania remote to change the volume and turn the TV on/off. Does RCN have a version of the FIOS 922/955 programming method? I would love to be able to use the RCN remote for the basic TV functions! It's frustrating, because Sylvania makes a great TV/DVD combo.

The codes for a combo set are found in the DVD settings or the VCR settings. Try the rca codes for DVD or Vcr and it should work. Although you may find that not all the functions will work properly ( ie: fast forward, open door, etc ). Good Luck

I went to Radio Shack an purchased a 15 dollar Phillips universal remote and it worked after entering one code for sylvania combo tv's. I did the Happy dance and now I can watch my tv again.
