This is a 32" OPTEK High Definition LCD Colour TV. About 2 years old. Model: ELT3218TIUOC EAN# 4897019340038 The little red power light went OFF so i could not turn the set ON and for about a week i used another tv instead. Then i pluggeg in the power cord of the OPTEK tv and the light came back on.. so i used the set but after few day the red light went off again! I replace the power cord and the little fuse but no luck. Where you get parts for this brand if you need them? Is OPTEK tv out of business? Thanks Art

SOURCE: my remote is untuned from my tv and freeview box thanks to my 4 year old and no longer have the manual to set it back up.My freeview box is a ferguson and tv is a toshiba.

If you have a learning universal remote, such as the MX-500, just put the remote in learning mode, press the button on the universal remote you want to program then press the appropriate button on the other remote. Otherwise, we'll need to know also what remote control you have. They are not all alike.

Yes it's dead; the power supply in these tvs do not have much stamina;
Due to the fact that their are no provisions for removal of heat. TV does not
have enough fans because customers don't like the noise and, the power supply surge caused by turning a cold set on and, off is not addressed by the manufacturer.
That is why the sets have only one a year warranty.
The choice you have is: repair the power supply or, replace the power supply
unless your set is under warranty.

Lost entire picture, sound and everything else OK
check the invertor boards resistors they power the back lights
also check for any capactors that have blown (raised tops) they look little bateries

Symptoms of a Defective or dying Power supplies on LCD TVs.
1. Light(s) on the front panel are behaving not normal example, blinking, amber color or not steady, fainting, etc.
2. TV not turning ON properly.
3. TV turns OFF by itself.
4. Needs to be unplug to many times to make it work.
5. Humming or high pitch noise heard through speakers or at the back of the TV.
