I had the same problem and found that the motor that spins the cd so it can be read would start and stop. I opened the case removed the assembly with the motor and placed a drop of 3in1 lightweight oil on the shaft of the motor ran it a few times and now it works perfectly fine. Good luck hope this helps you as well.

Problem playing dvd with panasonic sa-pt660 keep getting an H02 error message?

Thousands of annoyed customers of Panasonic, Yamaha, and Denon DVD Player owners have encountered the infamous H02 / H07 /H03 erors and many others on thier players or maybe the "No disk" error even though a disk is in the drive. Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving the motor a little "kick start"

Panasonic DVD-S35 Player H02 problem

Hi, this is an unfortunate error. this is referring to the lens assembly. it is unable to scan and read at this moment. it could be because the lens is dead or, it could be that the lens is simply dirty and will need to be cleaned. i would try cleaning it with a non brush type cleaning process. Once cleaned and you still have the same issue, i recommend replacing the lens assembly.

HO2 error code at screen

In line with the other Panansonic DVD players, the error seems to relate to the internal drive machanism getting stuck.

To fix you just need to carefully take the back off (disconnect power source first!), locate the drive cogs for the lens machanism and give the a couple of turns. Also a blast from a air can will help get rid of any dust build up. Pop the back cover back on and you should be working.

Looking at the other Panasonic threads on the site, this may happen on a regular basis especially as the unit gets older (and the crud builds up).
