Flashing then solid water intake light. I have cleaned the intake filter it seems to me the dishwasher is either got a bad switch to the inlet or the program the ends a drying cycle is stuck on. it sounds like that sound

I must not be clear the machine seems to be stuck on the dry cycle , if you add water it will pump it out . is there a way to reset or clear all settings? As soon as you turn the on button on it wants to drain even when there is no water in the machine I have had this machine for ten years and do understand the basic cycles and it sounds like it is hung up in the very first thing the machine does when it is in the prewash cycle then one minute in the water intake light flashes and then the minutes remaining go to zero and the light becomes a steady red light usually when it finishes all washing it is quiet now it always sounds like it is in the drying cycle.

your solution didn't work the machine is stuck in the prewash mode and will drain water if added but will not start filling after a minute or two the red light flashes on the water intake the red light goes solid, the timer shows 0 minutes on any setting from 15minutes to 154 minutes and it will stay that way with the red water inlet light cycling from flashing to solid and you can hear contacts changing but the all is the same ?

I think your assumptions are pretty close. The filtersensor may be faulty too. If you feel up to it you can do it yourself, but it would be faster to have a appliance guy to do it.,

Hold the off button (the 0) down and turn the unit off--- give it 15 seconds and turn the power back on--- press 4 for normal cycle and close the door--- the first thing the unit should do (after about 15 seconds) is drain--- then fill---- then wash.

If it lets in water at the end of the drying cycle, this is normal as it fills the well where the heating element sits so as not to cause it to burn out when the machine starts up. If it is happening at other times you might want to look at the water pressure / level switch as this may be faulty and indicate that the machine needs water when none is required.

Indesit integrated dishwasher Model DIE2B19UK when I try to start a new cycle, press play, close the door it beeps and when I open the door all lights are flashing

When you attempt to start a new cycle on your Indesit integrated dishwasher (model DIE2B19UK), the dishwasher beeps, and the lights begin to flash.
Various factors could be to blame for this problem.
A few troubleshooting tips are provided below:
Examine the door:
The dishwasher door should be securely closed and latched.
The dishwasher will only start if the door is properly shut.
Verify the water inlet:
Verify that the water inlet is turned on and that the inlet hose is free of glaring obstructions or kinks.
Check the filters: Check the filters in the dishwasher for any blockages or debris. Clean or replace the filters as necessary.
Check the pressure switch: The pressure switch is responsible for sensing the water level in the dishwasher. It could be malfunctioning, which is causing the dishwasher not to start.
Check the control board: The control board controls the dishwasher's functions. It could malfunction, causing the dishwasher not to start or displaying the error code.
Contact the manufacturer: If none of the above solutions work, it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer for further assistance. They can provide more detailed troubleshooting steps or recommend a service professional to diagnose the problem.

Dishwasher got stick in drying cycle

It sound as if the machine is not getting any water - either the WPS or level switch. If you can feel the big Module connected to the water intake under the sink - does it vibrate slightly? if so then the WPS needs to be replaced.
It could also possibly be a dirty filter at the inlet not letting enough water into the machine in the time window programed - check the filter first - but my money is on the WPS

Just encountered exact same problem - happened after attempting to clean very greasy pans so grease/oil created foam/more or less solid material in filter area, but as well in pressure switch (pn 4859640)
This seems to be the cause (not sure yet)

Optima G2430 Miele dishwasher with intake/drain flashing light

Hi,
F13 is an inlet fault.
First the unit drains and then fills with water. When the unit has intially drained open the door and manually fill the unit with water, about 5lts. This will then allow the dishwasher to go to the next step which is to circulate the water. If this works ok then the water tap is defective, water inlet valve is defective or the electronic unit is not sending the signal to activate the valve. The water inlet valve is the white square box attached to the tap. Remove this and check the filter and make sure water comes out of the tap.If ok then remove the bottom panel of the unit under the door. On the right hand side there is a 2 core cable with a male and female connector. Unplug this and check for voltage from the electronic when the unit goes to fill with water. If there is 240v then the electronic is ok. You will then need a new waterproof system from Miele.

Hello , The inlet/drain light on my dishwasher is flashing , I have mislaid the manual can you explain how I can rectify the problem please , I am assuming something is blocked. Regards Georgina Cooke

My G892SC is almost 10 years old and recently had the same problem. The machine seemed to be stuck in the drain cycle and the intake/drain light flashed. I called Miele and ran through a few diagnostic tests but nothing worked. I had a Miele certified technician come out to look at the problem and he told me the drain pump needed to be replaced and that it would cost about $500 for the part and labor. While researching the cost of a new dishwasher, I stumbled on some online discussions about this problem and someone suggested pressing all 4 lower buttons on the control panel at the same time. I tried it last night and it worked! I only ran the wash & hold cycle but will try a full cycle tonight.
