Just spoke to Samsung support and it turns out that the freeview tuner had froze and needed resetting. To do this put TV on standby and then push in series these buttons on the remote: 'info, menu, mute, power' the TV will then turn itself on and display a menu. Press the 'down arrow' untill you've highlighted option 12 - 'reset' and then press the 'right arrow' to enter the option. TV will turn off and when you turn back on it will start in 'plug & play' mode as if new. Set the time and country options and then it will perform a complete scan. I've just retuned mine and all back to normal. Hoorah!!!! :-)

Used suggested Solution to access DEFAULT SCREEN & RESET:

1. Enter STANDBY mode (Press Power on the Remote),
2. Press INFO, MENU, MUTE (Press in sequence,on the Remote),
3. Exit STANDBY mode (Press Power on the Remote),
....which brings up the DEFAULT SCREEN,

4. & then Select OPTION 12 to RESET , (Using DownArrow button)
..which Restarts in Plug&Play mode, then Select Country,
.... which then enters AUTO RETUNE/STORE.

...Seq Steps/Option I was looking for & Worked, THANKS!!!!

Can't get Digital TV (freeview)

Change the input to antenna.
If it says cable:
On your Samsung remote is a button that says antenna. You want it to say AIR. Air is an ATSC tuuner that allows you to receive over the air HD with a pair of rabbit ears.
If it says AIR:
If it says AIR and you still can't get the HD channels. In the menu it will say Channel. In that sub menu it will say autoprogram. Make sure you have an antenna connecte to AIR in the back of the set and autoprogram AIR only.

Any questions respond to this post and I will respond.

Updating the Channel List Automatically You can update the channel list when the broadcaster adds new Services or if you move the TV to a new location.

2. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select "Channel", then press the ENTER button.

3. Press the ENTER button again, to select "Country".

4. Select the appropriate country by pressing the ▲ or ▼ button. Press the ENTER button to confirm your choice. Even though you have changed the country setting in this menu, the country setting for Analogue TV is not changed. (Refer to page 11 of the user guide)

5. Press the ▲ or ▼ button again, to select "Auto Store". Press the ENTER button. When it has finished, the number of scanned services will be displayed. The existing favourite channel list will not be deleted when the channel list is updated. To stop the scan before it has finished, press the ENTER button with "STOP" selected.

Samsung tv LE32r74bdx only gives only one channel. Vere few menu are active.

Looks like the TV is in 'Shop' mode. To exit, with the TV switched on, hold the Vol down and Menu buttons on the side of the TV for 4 seconds - the screen will show 'Dynamic'. You should then have all of your functions back.

NO DTV CHANNELS

There may be an input button on the remote, or on the TV, that allows you to switch from the standard ATSC tuner to the DTV tuner.

Let me know if you can't find it and I will dig for an owner manual. But the above should allow you to switch tuners and input sources.

Samsung LE32R74BDX ...DTV problems

Solution that worked for me:

Beware: Although the process should be safe, it technically voids your warranty.

Enter the service menu:
1 - turn of tv with remote
2 - press and release in the following order on the remote: Info, Menu, Mute. Make sure remote is pointing at the tv
3 - turn on the tv from the remote
4 - you will see the service menu. using the down arrow on the remote select the Reset option. Using the right arrow button at this point will do a hard reset.
5 - Wait a few seconds, turn TV on
6 - you will have to rescan analogue and digital channel but it should be working now.
