All i can sugest is to try download the correct/newest driver for your computer. Uninstall all previous versions first, your download page is here http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/lbc/WRT160N

TRY IT ON WEP I HAD TROUBLE USING WPA SECURITY SETTINGS ON MY PS3

Your Linksys WRT160N is a router that can be accessed via CAT-5 cables and wirelessly. You must configure the router though, for wireless use. If this is not configured or not configured correctly, then you may have problems using it wirelessly. Laptop computers usually use the 802.11g mode, not the 802.11n, at 54MB or with the right NIC in a desktop you can get 108MB. If it was working then quit without your doing anything, you may have to replace the router, but I doubt it.

If the desktop is a Win XP computer, Uninstall the WUSB54GC, restart the computer and then once it boots up and ready, plug the wusb54gc, once it ask for the drivers insert the cd and let it find the drivers then install it.You will be using the Windows wireless configuration and see if that will work.
