Have NVidia 9400 GT 1gb card. Have used it for a few months connected to an HD Tv. I use sleep mode on the computer quite alot, I lost the tv connection before in profiles, it came back by fluke I think, when unplugging cables and restarting many times. However I can't get it to find the TV now. Have uninstalled and reinstalled software, removed and reinstalled the physical card. Did a complete system power down and drain of residual power, all to know avail.
Hello
I think the card has gone bad some chip must be damaged I will suggest a new card .
As you have you have Reinstalled so many times the card possibility of card processor being faulty

Http://www.4shared.com/file/225712459/63c095f2/svideo.html This is the problem regarding the S-Video connector you use with the graphics card port. Use the image from the link to build the correct connector.
Dude..........u cud try a system restore........sometimes it happens with my webcam and other hardware too..........the pc stops detecting em..... a simple restore or reinstall usually fixes it all...............u cud also check their site for trouble shooting options....... if that doesnt work..... u cud try replacing the card(if all else fails) or maybe something is wrong wit ur cable. Sometimes the plugs get worn out and bent.......this causes problems which u can well imagine.......as a last resort.....u can try installing windows or watever OS u have..... btw i dont think u shud sleep mode that often.....shut it down or just turn off the monitor(but u do what u want to)
HOPE THAT HELPED^^

I dont think the chip would be bad or damaged. However I guess anything is possible. I'll try and get it looked at under warranty as it's a new card. It's only ever been installed in this computer(twice). The drivers on the other hand many times. I've read in other places about the sleep mode causing issues with detecting the TV after. Any input on this theory, or what can be done to test?
