I'm sorry to hear about your DISH Network DVR-625 receiver. If you don't mind me asking & to allow me to further assist you, what exactly do you mean by "dead unit"," For example, was it working and has suddenly stopped working? Does it power on, can you see any lights on the front of your receiver? Is it plugged directly into a electrical outlet on the wall, or is it plugged into a power strip/surge protector? If plugged into a power strip/surge protector, please attempt to bypass by plugging the receiver directly into an electrical outlet- if plugged into an electrical outlet please try a different outlet. Part of your PowerSupply is Frito.
Probably the +/- 15 volt rails, could be other.
Check inside power voltages, probably some regulators are gone.
Preferably get a tech unless you have the know-how and test equipment...

Power to amp but no light happened when my battery went dead replaced
the power amp has a short in the unit and it drain everything out of the battery, that why the battery is dead. it is really possible that a capacitor is open or shorting out cause the unit to drain the battery.

It may not be dead yet. Does it supply output? You have not mentioned. It would be considered dead if it does not give any output. Is the battery fine? If the battery is fine and there is no output then it may be dead.
So, check the battery for any sign of life.
Check the output.
Check output with it plugged into mains.
If all are negative then it is dead.

Front panel light not working
the unit is not dead if its playing cds its probly ur wires make sure there not cut and your ground wire is grounded good and also check the battery in the remote make sure its not dead also
