Hi, each TV has its own specific set of codes it uses. But regarding universal remotes and programming them they are all different. universal remote manufactured by "one for all" might have the working set of codes for your TV under code 1234, and universal remote "RCA" might have the working code for your TV under 987. so the code depends on the universal remote you are using.
So we need to know the brand and model number of your universal remote you are programming to find you the correct code. And even if we do find the correct remote and manual for your universal, there is a big possibility that the universal remote will still not work.
There is no standardized code for your TV; the code will differ from one 'universal' remote to another.
I suggest you write down the make and model numbers from several different remotes that seem to meet your needs, then go to the manufacturer's website to see if your TV (and other devices you wish to control) are contained in the remote's code set.
You can also go to:
Enter your brand and model number in the search boxes and a list will appear with original and/or compatible 'universal' remotes.
Often, the so-called universal remotes will not give you all the functions offered by the original.
Go to website of the universal remote control manufacturer and use the code finder tool that most offer. You will need your tv manufaturer name and model number as well as the model number of your remote.
Philips Magnavox makes the remote. Not sure about the model #, but you can get to the audio/video or DVD by scrolling through using the channel buttons on the unit itself. I have also been successful with a universal remote with the exception the channel up and down would not fuction correctly, but direct entry did, as well as the source select. Hope this helps.
Each universal remote manufacturer has a specific list of codes that only pertains to thier remotes for each brand TV. I will need to know the make and model number of your remote to help you. The model number if not on the remote should be inside the battery compartment
the remote for your durabrand combo unit is part number NE207UD and can be found online through many retailers, as far as i know there are no universal remotes that support the durabrand codes, if they do it will be under a different manufacturers name.
