sir, for switching on the device u need to hold the play button for a couple of seconds.if ir is switching off after some time, then it means the power is not sufficient. you need to charge it well.
update your firmware from the driver cd u recieved with ur transcend 610 player and read the user manual for recovery that would be at page 26 of ur pdf (acrobat format) user manual in the cd

hello sir i have a problem with my t. sonic 2 gb mp3 player when i switch on the player it will show only t. sonic family initializing and after some time it will automatically switch off what i do please tsll me because i reset the player after this.
Install the firmware update that comes with the player. The solution is as simple as that. I had the same problem - the player was switchin off on its own. I installed the firmware update and it works like a charm. :)
