How to delete my music on my H10 iriver
Sorry, but the built-in firmware only allows you to do that by plugging it into your computer as a removable device. Pull the battery of the player (or press the reset button), plug it into your computer, and press and hold the OK button as you turn it on. This will cause the computer to recognize it as an external drive, and you can therefore delete music from it by accessing it through My Computer.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard
Then reformat inside of Windows Media Player

Try making sure the device is switched off before plugging it in - then turn on the power after it's connected.
Seems to've fixed the problem for me.

I had this problem at first too. the only thing you have to do after it's done syncing disconnect it and turn it on. then afterward go through the options till you find database refresh and wait for it to refresh and all your new music should be in it.

I presume that you are running the original firmware with windows media player to add your music.
There is an option on the Sync screen to delete.

OK, my iRiver freezes, and when I'm able to bring 'my playlists' up, there are no songs. No songs at all anywhere on the device whatever I try. the playlists remain, and my PC says the memory is still full (or whatever capacity is still filled).
I try to erase all the songs and start over, but my PC takes 20 mins just coming up with the file menu. I can't access the song folders at all...it searches for hours until I give up
