I have an Fx35 and an Fx 37. Unfortunately the Fx 37 appears to have a modified software that does not allow you to delete folders on card when the camera is connected via usb cable to a PC. It says card is write protected, even when it clearly is not. I have checked all the settings and compared the fx35 to th 37 and sorry to say the only way to delete pics on the fx 37 is to use the onboard pictures delet all function. This deletes the pics but does not delete the folders. To delete folders on SD card used in fx37 you need to remove card and format it directly in the PC card slot. (fx35 allows delete of folders just fine)
Id say thats one bad point against the lumix fx37.

How to unlock a photo in camara

The protect function allows a user to protect a picture from accidental deletion. To unprotect a picture on your camera, scroll to the protected picture that you want to delete, then press the Menu button (the button to the right of the Play button.) Scroll down the menu and you should come to an option that allows you to Protect/Unprotect the picture. Since your picture is currently protected, deselect that option. You should then be able to delete the picture normally.

Alternatively, you could also format the memory card, however this deletes ALL photos and data you have on the memory card. If you are trying to completely clear the memory, this is the best way. After turning on your camera, simply press the Menu button, scroll to Setup, then scroll down to Format. Select Format, it will ask you if you want to format the memory card, or the camera's built-in memory. Format whichever one you want to clear, if you are using a memory card then your pictures are stored on the memory card. It will take a few seconds to format.

Hope this helps.

How do i retrieve pictures from internal memory, dont have cable

You can copy pictures from internal memory to a memory card, then download them from the card.

Press the Review button. Press the Menu button, then use left/right to highlight the Review tab. Use up/down to highlight Copy, then press the OK button.

Once the card is plugged in to a card reader, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Memory card is protected reset switch on memory card

Take the memory card out of the camera and look at it. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Camera is M1033. Two relatively new batteries. Both have worked well. Now I get a brief message...internal memory is full. Then camera shuts off.

Connect the camera to your computer to transfer the photos onto your computer's hard drive. Then you should insert a memory card into the camera. With a memory card you should be able to and clear the internal memory and take more pictures.
