Hopefully this will help. I have similar problem with my old Muvo Slim. Have tried several times to turned it on, but wouldn't work.
Until I donwloaded the firmware from creative.com, and run it with the Muvo attached to USB, and then bumm... everything goes normal.
Sounds like a battery problem or theres a shorted componet in the mp3 curcuit and this is probably something your gonna have to send back to Creative Labs to have repaired
