You can increase your printer's speed slightly by decreasing the quality of the output. Go into the printer's driver software and reduce the print resolution and print quality. If you are printing text or light graphics, you probably won't even notice the difference in quality, but if you are printing graphics-intensive pages, the difference will probably be noticeable. See if the increase in speed is worth the sacrifice in quality.
When copying, you can increase the speed by using the LCD display. Change the quality from "Best" (which prints the slowest) to "Fast" (which prints the fastest).
The only speed selection is when you select print quality, draft is fastest, and selecting best will slow the printer down to snail speed.
