SOURCE: Freezer compartment of refrigerator not freezing
First, I think it’s important to know that the Ref side has no cooling coils, it’s basically a box and the cold air in the freezer is blown over by a fan through a channel into the Ref side. This channel has a door which regulates how much cold air goes through. You probably have two control knobs in the Ref side, one controls the temp with numbers 1-9, 9 being the coldest. This temp control tells the compressor how long to run. The other control is for that little door and it may have letters A-E, E being the coldest. If you set it on E (coldest) then this will close that little door and keep most the cold air in the freezer.
So, how can the Ref side be cold and the freezer side not freezing?
1. Coolant leak. There is enough coolant to keep the Ref side cool but not enough to freeze on the freezer side.
2. Defrost system failure. The coils on the freezer side are clogged with ice and it's just a matter of time when the Ref side won't cool either. The back wall in the freezer will be covered with ice/frost

Now, why is that cold air not getting over to the Ref side?
1. The little door is not open.
check your control setting. You should be able to feel air coming through the channel on the Ref side.
2. The fan in the freezer is not working.
You can hear this fan running when you open the freezer.
3. The coils on the freezer side are clogged with ice which won't let the fan circulate the air over to the Ref side.
This is a failure of the defrost system.

Cleaned the condensor coils? If not locate the coils either underneath (open both doors and remove the toe kick) or in the rear (remove the back panel). Use a vaccum or long brush to get any dust, hair or debris off these coils. These coils are allowing the refrigerant to cool down and if hair or dust is all over them they cant release the heat efficently. This kind of stuff will insulate the coils and the heat cant escape or release. Otherwise you are dealing with a freon issue. If the unit is running but not cooling correctly anylonger it probably has lost some freon and will continue to lose it. Hopefully this helps.
. First try manual
defrost reset procedure. The procedure is as follows: ----
First unplug the unit
from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the
doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the
freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections.
Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then
set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section. It will take
near to 4 hours to get run in its proper cooling cycle. Then check, if the
problem returns again. Then its defrost board problem. -------------
If it's again building up ice that means the unit is not defrosting. It's starting the cooling procedure, and then while defrosting, it's not working. The defrost assembly consists of three main parts. The defrost thermostat, the defrost heater and defrost board. Any of the one is not functioning. When thermostat sense the maximum cooling, it triggers the defrost heater to start heating and this defrosts the ice collected on the coils and the system works. Both thermostat and heater are controlled by defrost board. First the thermostat and defrost heater to be checked, if both check ok by meter and visually, then its defrost board causing the problem.
