Battery goes flat very quickly

Had the phone for about two weeks now. The phone seemed to go flat very quickly from when I first got it but though that was because I was using it a lot. Now I am not using it so much the battery only seems to last roughly 12 hours from a full charge before the battery indicator starts to flash. Can anyone help? Is it a faulty batch of batteries?

Also check the settings on the phone, if you have disabled power saving features that dim the screen after so many seconds then the backlight will drain the battery very quickly. Use name brand batteries and not the ones that come with the phone. If you have not tried to buy a new battery yet, the ones that come with the phone can often ****. Finally, make sure that you do not have a short in your wall charger and that the first time you use a new battery you charge it fully to begin with and don’t charge it again until it is completely depleted. Supposedly newer batteries do not have to be primed, but I find it is a good practice anyway.

Once a week follow a full recharge my battery goes flat in hours even though I'm not using it. Why does this happen?

Hi, phones with battery problems are usually caused by bad battery cells. When a battery cell is bad it does not have the strength to power on a phone for too long.

So you will need to get another battery.

Take care.

The battery doesn't stay stay long and it is original nokia n70 battery. i dont know what to do ?

Hi the chances are the battery in the phone has bad cells this causes the battery to seem charged when its actually flat, the only option you have is to replace the battery and that will solve your problem.

when you get a new battery do the following.

every say 6 weeks let the battery go totally flat so that it wont even turn the phone on then do a full charge over night, doing this every six weeks keeps the battery at its best and prevents it from getting any bad cells so doing this will improve the life of the battery.

turning off bluetooth saves the battery as well if this is switched on all the time then this will drain the battery really quick its best you only turn it on as and when needed.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

or the other problem you might have is with the connections, check all the metal terminals that touch the battery are not bent or come loose as they can sometimes come away from the circuit board if the phone has been dropped or bashed about so check this as well, if the terminals are ok then the chances are you need to get a new battery as it will more than likely have bad cells and is not holding the correct charge so your phone then thinks its not the correct battery.

Hi,my n73 battery gets low too quickly, after only 20 minute of talktime.

Hi, the problem you are having is caused by the battery having bad cells all you need to do is get a new battery and your phone will be back to normal.

a little trick to remember:

every 6 weeks let the battery go totally flat let it go that flat that the phone wont even light up when you press the on button, then give it a full charge, doing this will prevent the build up of bad cells and this will then keep the battery in best condition,

Computer dies FAST when unplugged even though power may register 100% befor unplugging also laptop does not seem to recognize battery properly . battery power goes from 100% to 35% overnight if unplug

You have a dead battery or the charging circuit is faulty. If you have had the battery since you purchased the laptop, then it is worn out and needs to be replaced.
