I have a TI-83 plus and randomly when I try to turn it on a black line appears at the bottom of the screen and then goes off. When i try to turn it on again it won't work but if i hit the 2nd key and then On, it turns on but still with the black line. It happened once before and after countless times of removing the AAA batteries and even the Lithium battery and hitting it it worked- that was a month ago and now I am back to the same problem. I tried doing the "hold down the clear button while putting a battery back" and it didnt work- when it finally did work, the screen would go from light to dark when I touched a key and then all of a sudden it went back to only appearing a black like when i turned it on. HELP
