I have a Canon Pixma 530 and have gotten the 'paper jammed' message twice. Each time I was totally confused because 1) I saw no jam and 2) when I turned the printer off and on, it would automatically **** a sheet of paper smoothly through the entire path. Both times, after much poking around with a flash-light, I found a small object in the paper path, removed it, and all was well.
One solution I have seen online is to cut and 8 1/2 by 11 inch piece out of a cereal box and feed this through the path. This is thicker than a sheet of paper and is better at pushing a foreign object out of the path.

make sure you open all check points, if yours has a rear feed through, look in there also. it only takes a tiny piece of paper to cause it to say that. use a flash light, have had to use one to find several that way.
hi, CANON PIXMA MP160 All-In-One InkJet
Printer has few common problems. Such as Driver CD
lost, Scanner does not work, Connection problem etc. For find all these software solution
just click here....
hi just recently had these problems symptoms: LED flashing E3 code and alarm light was solid. But dissapeared when opened the coved and came back on when closed the cover. Also the when the cover was open the inks did not slide out to the left and stayed to the right side. There was no paper jam, but error said paper jam.
Solution: 1. I took a thick piece of paper, from like a paper folder ones, thick enough to go in the printer and not curl up when pushed.. 2. turned off the printer and turned it back on. 3,
while printer was turning on,and makings sound as it does normally when
turning on, I pushed through the piece of paper and the rotors stoped
for a millisecond. 4.the rotors started again and pushed out the paper by it self with out my force. 5. I let the printer get started. and then turned it off and then on. 6. this solved all of my problems. this was the first problem ever with this printer in 3 years.,preety good printer.
