Tv won't turn on

The problem actually started with the tv shutting itself off every now and then. let it sit awhile and it would work fine until it shut itself off again. Sometimes a few minutes later & sometimes it would work just fine for days. Now it won't turn on at all. just has a little red light blinking at me.

Good day sir, problem with your tv's switching power supply, at this point you have a choice of visiting/calling your service center, or do it your own? If you want to do it your own, you may need you dissassemble your tvs back panel, to have access to the circuit, locate the switching power supply section and test the following.

  • the switching power transistor usually with a heatsink.
  • the oscillator circuit, with a pulse width modulator IC that controls the switching.
  • the high speed power transformer.
  • the feedback circuit.
  • the capacitor and voltage regulator.
test all of them until you get the bad part. I don't want to sound technical, but thats how service centers do it. You may need to get schematics.

I suggest you call your service center, and let them do it.

2002 alero ran.shut off won't restart.Replaced fuel filter,now it gets gas,but still won't start.

For some reason aleros have this problem every once in awhile. It might be the security on the alero. What you would have to do is turn the key all the way to accel i believe right before you start it and let it sit for about 13 minutes. affter this the security will recognise itself and start your car

1998 buick lesabre refuses to start or turnover until it sits awhile

Sounds like the starter to me(I assumed you meant won't crank when hot).I have replaced only 1 starter(on my neighbor's Taurus)in the 15 years after quitting the GM dealer tech job 15 years ago.I probably could make a career just changing GM starters and alternators.(I only have Mopars in my driveway!)

Car starts fine after sitting awhile. If you drive awhile then stop and try to restart it won't.

Check the electronics, cam sensor or crank sensor these are the culprits.

I power on tv and it shuts down after few seconds

There is a high voltage leak here, the reason it closes down is the protection mechanism isw trying to prevent more damage. better to turn it off and have it repaired before it catches fire or blows all the boards and becomes totally useless or beyond repair.

Sorry this isnt what you wanted hear but there is a safeyty factor involved here.

I have a 52" LG 52SX4 DLP TV, it now shuts off itself after about 10-15 minutes of playing. The bulb is fine, and fan is working fine, it doesnt get too hot, but tv still shuts itself off. I can turn...

Look for capacitors that are bulged and going bad, that is a common symptom when they fair, either the set won't come on unless its warmed up or it will shut down after it run for awhile
