The HDMI is best..but you need the standard HDMI cable. BUT this JVC is in the new Noah movie? Seriously, it wont handle Roku. The digital in function is strictly 480 p.
I think you will have to upgrade to a newer tv for this source
If you haven't replaced the lamp you should. If you have replaced the lamp you may just need to reset the unit. when the picture is out see if you can see the lamp light on in the back inside the tv. if its still on you might have a problem with the optical engine. if not try replacing the lamp part# tscl110u
I have mits 35" CS 3505 will not turn on... just turned off and thats all she wrote,,, what is the estimate cost of the deflection circuit board

A projection tv that has color issues is usually due to bad ballast which is attached to color wheel which you should also look at to make sure the colors are not mixed together and wheel is not warped.
you can try removing the 3wire plug that runs to the ATSC tuner (1orange wire 2 white wires). This will tell you if the tuner is causing the shutdown. This is a common problem.
